Daniel Montero is a journalist and producer with Belly of the Beast. Daniel has been interviewed on Democracy Now! and has published in The Guardian. Daniel graduated from the University of Havana’s Communication School in 2020 with a degree in Journalism.

Liz Oliva Fernández is a Cuban journalist and the presenter of The War on Cuba, for which she won a Gracie Award. Apart from her journalism and filmmaking, Liz is a dedicated anti-racist and feminist activist.

Reed Lindsay is an award-winning filmmaker and journalist whose work has been published in more than 20 major newspapers and magazines and broadcast on television news networks throughout the world.

Frank Padrón was director of photography for the award-winning series The War on Cuba. Frank has shot feature-length films, shorts, documentaries and music videos and has worked as a cameraman and photographer for Al Jazeera, The Guardian and ARD.

René A. Díaz is an editor and illustrator. He is the editor of the award-winning documentary series The War on Cuba. He has edited numerous short films for Belly of the Beast and has won acclaim for his animation and illustrations.

María Rivera is a graphic designer, illustrator and Master in Brand Design. She has won several awards as a poster artist and is the co-founder of Manicato Creators, a sociocultural project focused on expanding knowledge of cuban and electronic music.
