David Comissiong, Barbados' Ambassador to CARICOM says: Caribbean people know the Cuban medical cooperation and they know what benefit it has brought to us. And so I think that is one of the takeaways for me. We articulated that position, and we articulated we simply explained our reality. Look, this is our truth, and this is our reality. This is what the interests of our people demand.
And this is where we stand. And, you know, if you proceed the way you said you are going to proceed, well, you know we will, but this is where we stand. We are going to face some challenges with the foreign policy of the Trump administration. I think the policy that they're pursuing is kind. It's a hark back to American foreign policy of the 19th century. You know, the Monroe Doctrine, Comissiong remarks.
